The Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) of the Yerington Paiute Tribe promotes employment, workforce development, and economic self-sufficiency for tribal members and the surrounding community. As a central resource for employment services, TERO provides job search assistance, career guidance, workforce training, financial assistance for eligible employment-related needs, and referrals to educational and vocational resources. Through partnerships with employers, training providers, and community organizations, TERO supports individuals in obtaining meaningful employment both on and off the Yerington Paiute Reservation.

Who Can Access TERO Services

FAQs
What is the TERO fee?
The Yerington Paiute Tribe assesses a 3% TERO fee on the total contract amount, including the value of any approved change orders, in accordance with the Tribe’s TERO Ordinance.
What is the TERO Ordinance?
It is a tribal law that requires businesses to give job and contract preference to qualified Native Americans.
Who must follow TERO rules?
Any business operating on or near tribal land, including private contractors and the tribal government.
