About the Housing Authority
Safe, sanitary, affordable housing for our people.
The Yerington Paiute Tribal Housing Authority was established under Title 3 of the Tribe Housing Ordinance (Ordinance No. 6, June 22, 1966). The Authority develops, maintains, and operates affordable housing in safe and healthy environments for low-income Indian families within the Yerington Tribal jurisdiction, promotes access to private mortgage markets and self-sufficiency, and coordinates housing, infrastructure, and community development for our people.
What We Do
Indian Housing Plan
Front office staff assist families with general questions, including budgeting for certain home repair expenses, and connect families with specialists as needed.
Youth Activities
Youth activities, including and beyond sports, for low-to-moderate income families.
Housing Rehabilitation
For privately owned homes, we work with a contractor to rehabilitate low-to-moderate income family homes to a healthy, safe, and sanitary standard.

How do I qualify for a home or rental?
Complete an application and provide a Tribal ID, State ID, income verification, and the number of occupants.
How long will I need to wait?
Your application is assessed, and you will be notified when a unit becomes available. If more than six months pass, you will need to update your application.
