The Yerington Paiute Tribe Commodity Food Program is here to support our community. We travel to reservations throughout our service area, providing essential commodity food to households in need – making sure you have access to healthy, nutritious options.
Beyond providing commodity food, we are dedicated to fostering long-term food security – empowering households with stability, dignity, and better well-being.
What We Offer
- Monthly commodity food distribution for eligible low-income households.
- Distribution visits to reservations throughout our service area.
- Income eligibility certification and application assistance.
- Zero-income certification for households without income.
- Nutritious food options that support healthy families.
- Referrals to CHRs, social services, and tribal assistance programs.
How to Apply
Eligibility and Application
To receive commodity food assistance:
- Your household must meet current income eligibility guidelines
- You must reside within our service area
- Complete a program application
- Provide a copy of income documentation (or complete a Zero-Income form)

FAQs
What if I do not have income?
You will fill out a Zero-Income form, which is included with the application.
What if I cannot find my Social Security award letter?
If you do not have your award letter on hand, you can provide a bank statement showing your deposits. Alternatively, you can access your Social Security account online through the Social Security Administration website and download your award letter.

Home Deliveries
We do not offer home deliveries due to the high demand of distribution. However, you can reach out to your local CHR, social services, or tribal assistance programs for help with delivery options.
