What We Do
Trusted stewards of the Tribe’s financial resources — promoting long-term economic stability, transparency, and self-sufficiency.
The Yerington Paiute Tribe’s finance department oversees budget management, payroll, purchasing, fixed assets, accounting, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. We are responsible for all the accounting functions of the Tribe’s governmental funding, clinic, and enterprises, and we keep the Tribal Council apprised of any changes in the Tribe’s financial position.
Accounts Payable
Accounts Payable processes invoices and purchases in a timely manner, keeping the Tribe’s accounts in good standing with our vendors.
Accounts Receivable
Accounts Receivable manages and processes all revenue from our enterprises and funds in a timely manner.
Grant Management
Timely financial reporting and submission to our granting agencies, keeping grants reconciled so we always know where our funding stands.
Payroll
Pays our employees consistently every two weeks — running payroll for all 86 employees across our ventures and submitting quarterly taxes for the Tribe.
Tax / TERO
Newly re-established, this area grows the Tribe’s revenue through tax collection and business licenses, and ensures outside agencies coordinate with the Tribe when working on sovereign land.

How do I get ahold of finance?
Send an email to finance@ypt-nsn.gov if you’re unsure which area to contact. We’ll respond and have someone reach you within 48 hours. For an immediate response, call (775) 783-0200 and listen to the prompts to reach the finance department.
How do I pay using a credit card?
The finance department accepts cash, check, or money order. Water and mini-storage utilities can be paid online with a credit card through our payment link, but we are not able to take credit or debit cards at the finance office at this time.
